Kate Spade Clothing Line

This is not a "modest" clothing line, but I was impressed by some modest pieces, and an overall sweet, innocent flavor, with a quirky streak. :-)

I love the tights!

Polka dots! Yay!

Anthropologie is a very unique online clothing store that I have been poking around on, and I found some adorable stuff to show you. :-) I like a lot of their style... it is rather unusual, but definitely stylish. They have some lovely colors (see orange cardigan later on--swoon), and some really nice neutrals. Like most places I like, it is spendy. But it's fun to look at!

They have a lot of flowy, jersey-type knits with floral detailing and draping that I love.

This tanktop would be lovely with a brown shrug...

This green top is a very unusual cut, but I think it is lovely.

(It would be monstrously indecent on me, though.)

I saw a top similar to this in the Coldwater Creek magazine and coveted it tremdously.

Something about the abtract-ish water-color-ish-ness.

I apologize if any one is sick and tired of these really long posts full of pictures. But I have an obsession.

J. Crew

This morning, I found some lovely summer dresses in the sale section of J. Crew website. A lot of the clothing from this store is very expensive, but this summer sale has some pretty sweet markdowns, plus the coupon code EXTRA30 takes off 30 percent of sale items, so many of the dresses are pretty reasonable.

I'm not a huge fan of purple, but this color is beautiful, and I love the dress design. It's halter neck though, which I'm not comfortable wearing, so I would wear it with a shrug.

So retro housewife.

I'm not sure it would ever be appropriate to wear a white dress like this except as a bride... but if it was, I'd wear it. :-)

This would be really cute with a white shirt under it.

This dress + white short-sleeve shrug + pearls + white sandals = cuteness incarnate.

Carter's Baby Girl Fashion

The females in my family all have a rather out-of proportion obsession with baby clothes. We have spent many hours and inordinate amounts of money in the Carter's Outlet.

I think that when I have kids I will snobbily dress them in exclusively Carter's brand clothing. I love it. SO MUCH. I love the yummy fabric and the patterns and the tiny ruffles and the colors and the duckies and the cupcakes and best of all, the monkeys. You have to open that in a new tab because it is boys' baby fashion. And this post is about girls. Okay?

While whizzing through Fred Meyer, after I had lingered over the first perfect pair of white sandals I have met all year, and deciding that they were too expensive despite their undeniable allure, I saw the BABY CLOTHING SALE. And I saw this and wanted to buy it. Badly.

And just in case you didn't know... this style of baby garment is called a 'creeper'. Which makes me laugh.

I love that baby fashion is influenced by adult fashion, but is (obviously) not the same. For instance, for the past several years polka dots and big, bold flower prints have been everywhere for babies, and also for women. I would rather wear a lot of the baby prints than the ones made for adults. Seriously, why can't they make clothing for ME out of that awesome soft cotton deliciousness?

And I wish I had a baby girl right now because I love all of the current baby fashions and what if they are hideous by the time I actually should be buying them? See, this is why I must buy everything. Right now.
