When I'm with this kid, something inside me is literally bubbling over and screaming "I JUST LOVE THIS TINY PERSON SO MUCH!" I never, ever thought I would be like this.

It is physically impossible not to snatch her up and squeeze her and kiss her profusely.

I nearly die regularly. When Katie reaches out and says "hand?"

When I'm zipping up her monkey sleeper and she wraps her warm little arms around my neck and sighs, "Happy."

When I say "I love you!" and she says "Too!"

Ruby, my brother's oldest.

I love them at this age. But I also can't wait until I can give them manicures and take them each red shoe shopping. And I'm ready with my baseball bat to mutilate any boys who even think about breaking their hearts.

I can't wait to find out what kind of crazy personalities these ones have.

If I love my nieces with this ridiculous and alarming ferocity, what am I gonna do when I have my own babies? I'm pretty sure I'll just burst.

I like this better in color.. but there was this really annoying orange flower. SO yeah.

Baby Fashion Part II

As promised, here are photos of my adorable nieces, Katie and Ruby, modelling beauteous baby clothing throughout their lives. (They are both just over 1 year now). 

 Basically all of the clothing is Carter's.

I got a bunch of ridiculously cute pictures of my niece Katie when we were at the beach last week.

She looks a lot like her mommy when she makes this face.

And she looks SO MUCH like baby pictures of her Auntie Beka in this picture! 

The same evil look.

This action is usually accompanied my something like, "Dyumm nonna??" 

We do not know what it means.

Then she got silly. :-)

Niece Number #3

It's 5:40 AM and we're heading off to the airport to send off my sister, 

who is going to Pennsylvania for a week.

But just wanted to introduce my new niece, 

Virginia Grace..

Born on October 11th, 2010.

Victoria Faith

I am now a proud aunt to

nieces.

On Monday my sister Johanna gave birth to this amazing baby girl,

Victoria Faith.

Katie is a very gleeful and fascinated big sister. :-)

We got up at about 3:00 AM to drive down to her house, and I didn't end up getting to sleep until 2 AM.

Maybe that's why I now have a nasty cold. :P
